On February 9-10, 2007 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies hosted an international conference on Human Security – “South Caucasus: Focus on Georgia.” The conference was organized in cooperation with the Caucasus Policy Institute at Kings College London (UK).

During the conference leading international and Georgian experts, representatives of international organizations and foreign governments discussed most important issues affecting state of human security in Georgia and the South Caucasus region. Among them: challenges of conflict resolution – Role of neighbors and international actors; governance and rule of law; human rights; democracy; state of opposition parties; security sector reform; economic development and investment.
