On December 16-17, the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies hosted the Winter Academy for Young Leaders.

Sixteen young activists from the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Imereti, Kvemo Kartli, and Kakheti regions, alumni of the Rondeli Foundation Project “Youth for Changes,” participated in Winter Academy.

Within the framework of the Winter Academy, researchers of the Rondeli Foundation discussed current foreign policy and security topics with participants, which are essential for Georgia and the whole region. On the second day of the Academy, the participants were given practical training on Negotiation techniques and Public Policy Analysis, and they prepared group presentations on issues like Lowering the Election threshold for Parliamentary elections in 2024, reducing/eliminating hate speech in the media, decentralization and increasing the financial autonomy of local governments, and state support to the non-governmental sector to ensure the sustainability of the latter.
After the end of Winter Academy, the participants were awarded Certificates.

The project is implemented with the financial support of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
