On April 5, the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies hosted a roundtable discussion on “Involvement of the Representatives of Ethnic Minorities in Political Processes”. The youth from different communities and regions, as well as representatives of political parties, participated in the discussion.

Participants discussed factors that hinder ethnic minorities’ active involvement in political processes and expressed their opinions on how the current situation can be changed. The dialogue covered social problems, access to education, the work of parties in regions, and existing stereotypes.

In turn, the representatives of the political parties presented to the attendees their position on how they intend to deal with these challenges in the future.

The round table discussion was held within the framework of the project “Supporting Free and Fair Elections Cycle in Georgia”.

The project is financed by the European Union.
