On February 29, 2024, Adjara Collective, a partner organization of the Rondeli foundation, donated sports equipment and a laptop and books for the library to the schools involved in the ongoing project – “Pankisi Youth School”. The partnership between the Rondeli Foundation and the Adjara Collective began in December 2023 and aims to support up to 2,300 students of public schools who are beneficiaries of regional programs run by the Foundation and to improve their learning conditions.
The event was held in the Jokolo village. After the award ceremony, further discussions were held within the framework of the project. The lecture-discussion on the topic “Media and Society” was led by professor Maia Mikashavidze, and the lecture “Energy Policy of the South Caucasus: from the 19th century to the present day” was led by Rondeli Foundation researcher Mamuka Komakhia..
Pankisi Youth School was launched in September 2023 by the Rondeli Foundation with the support of the US Embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia. The goal is to increase civic awareness among Pankisi public school students and enhance their capacity through non-formal education and various activities.
