Donbas Area – North and Oskil River Area Position of the Russian forces around Lyman became desperate during the reported period with their only remaining options being a very rapid retreat or falling into a Ukrainian encirclement. Northwest of Lyman, Ukrainians took Shandryholove, Serednje, Novoselivka, and possibly Zelena Dolyna. They also advanced towards Nevske and Kolodyazi reaching the western bank of the Zherebets River. On the opposite side of the potential encirclement, Ukrainians advanced southwest of Kreminna, launching fighting near the outskirts of Torske. Meanwhile, Russians continued resisting Ukrainian attacks within Lyman, Drobysheve and Yampil. On the Oskil River bank, Ukrainians advanced in the direction of Borova, liberating Pisky-Radkivski and reaching the southern outskirts of Pidlyman. They also advanced south and east of Kupyansk, liberating Kivsharivka and Petropavlivka.
