Svatove-Starobilsk Area and Donbas Area – North Inconclusive fighting continued in the areas of Kreminna and Svatove. Villages Kolomyichykha and Pidkuichansk south of Kuzemivka, reported as likely taken by Ukrainians in late December 2022, were noted to be in fact under the Russian control.
Donbas Area – Northeast Following the capture of Krasnopolivka, Russians continued attacks north and northwest from it, launching battles for the village named Sakko i Vantsetti. West of Soledar, Russians took village Blahodatne. They also advanced into the area between Bakhmut and village Paraskoviivka. These Russian advances worsened the position of the Ukrainian defenders of Krasna Hora placing Russian forces on three sides of this village. Heavy fighting for Krasna Hora continued as of the time of writing. Heavy fighting continued on the eastern and southern outskirts of Bakhmut. South of this city, Russians established full control over village Opytne. Russians achieved an advance southwest of Bakhmut in the direction of Ivanivske, Stupochky and the road between these two villages which is one of the routes connecting the cities of Bakhmut and Kostyantynivka.
