On September 8, 2016 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies with the financial support of Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) organized a public discussion for the representatives of ethnic Azeri community at the Marneuli Youth Centre.
Professor Vladimer Papava, Senior Fellow and Director of the Center for Applied Economic Studies at the Foundation discussed economic programs of the Political Parties participating in Parliamentary elections 2016.
The audience consisted of the representatives of students, non-governmental organizations, media, and other representatives of the local community.
The discussion was held under the series of lectures on issues of nationwide importance. The aim of the series of presentations is to increase the capacity of ethnic minority community of Kvemo Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti, forge common understanding and vision of the Georgian state among the citizens of Georgia despite their ethnic origin and promote a national integration process in line with the principles of modern, democratic state.
