On 25-29 November, 2010 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies hosted a delegation of Polish experts in Georgia. The delegation was headed by Mr. Eugeniusz Smolar, the Senior Fellow of the Polish Institute of International Affairs and Chairman of the Polish-Czech Forum. He has been involved in the Polish-German, Polish-Russian and Polish-Ukrainian dialogues. Among the delegation members were the former Minister of National Defense of Poland, Dr. Janus Onyszkiewicz, and the former Polish Ambassador to Armenia, Dr. Tomasz Knothe.

The aim of this fact-finding visit was to raise awareness about Georgia and establish future cooperation between Georgian and Polish civil societies. Throughout their stay in Georgia the delegation members conducted several high level meetings with top Georgian government officials, international community representatives, democratic opposition members and civil society actors.

On 29 November, 2010 GFSIS organized a roundtable for Georgian and Polish analysts. This roundtable brought together top experts of a wide range of issues for exchanging views on future perspectives of Georgia.
