This project trained 25 Georgian journalists from the print and electronic media in issues relating to international relations, transformation and globalisation, economic transition, state territorial arrangement, European integration, anti-terrorism, political risk-analysis, nationalism and ethnic conflicts, amongst other topics. In addition to the training sessions, the project also featured a weekly discussion meeting with a guest speaker and opportunities for journalists to become better acquainted with the Government of Georgia’s goals and foreign policy priorities. By the end of the project, participants had more than 100 reports published in the press and broadcast on the radio.

The project was funded by International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX)
