On November 7, 2016 the public speech by Mikheil Janelidze, Foreign Minister of Georgia and Paolo Gentiloni, Foreign Minister of the Italian Republic was held under the framework of the event “Italy-Georgian Partnership and the Future of Europe” at Hotel “Radisson Blu Iveria”.
The aim of the event was to promote the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Georgia and Italy.
The welcome speech was made by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to Georgia H.E. Antonio Enrico Bartoli. The Ministers discussed the prospects of the development of cooperation between Georgia and Italy. They also stressed the need of deepening the relations in political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
H.E. Paolo Gentiloni discussed the democratic reforms in Georgia and the issues of European integration.
He also answered the questions of the audience. The Q&A session was moderated by Ekaterine Metreveli, President of the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies.
The event was co-organized by the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Italian Republic in Georgia.
