On April 11, 2016 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (GFSIS) hosted the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD) delegation headed by the Vice President of the Association, H.E Ambassador Mr. Yu Hongjun. Mr. Valeri Cechelashvili, and Mr. Merab Kakulia, the Senior-Fellows (GFSIS) hosted the delegation members.
During the round-table discussion, the parties discussed China-Georgia relations, expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of bilateral relations and underlined the necessity of active interaction to ensure Silk Road project success.
The Vice President of the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD), Mr. Yu Hongjun presented the opportunities and challenges facing China and Georgia in jointly building the Silk Road Economic Belt. The meeting was followed by Q&A period.
