Svatove-Starobilsk Area and Donbas Area – North

Russians sought to stem Ukrainian advance on Svatove and Kreminna. As a result, intense battles ensued in this area with the two sides attacking and counterattacking one another at various parts of the frontline.

In the north, Ukrainians reached village Vilshana where Russians were still holding out as of the time of writing.

Northwest of Svatove, Ukrainians achieved considerable advance liberating several villages, approaching village Kuzemivka, and reaching the area about 13-14 kilometers west of Nyzhnia Duvanka (a town located north of Svatove).

11 kilometers southwest of Svatove, Ukrainians reached and possibly liberated village Kovalivka.

West and northwest of Kreminna, Russians continued counterattacks with the resulting fighting taking place in the area between Kreminna and the line of Torske-Nevske.
