This is a special issue of the Rondeli Russian Military Digest dedicated to the Russo-Ukrainian War, composed on the basis of numerous open sources. Donbas Area – North Fighting occurred at various sections of the frontline in this area including near Husarivka, Virnopillya and Dolyna without publicly known major changes in territorial control.
Donbas Area – Northeast Russians once again unsuccessfully attempted to advance on the Hryhorivka/Verkhnokamyanske/Ivano-Dar’ivka line. Unsuccessful Russian attacks also occurred towards Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, two closely situated villages under the same name of Zaitseve, Vershyna and Kodema. After withdrawal of Ukrainian forces that had been threatened with possible encirclement, Russians captured village Travneve.
Donbas Area – Southeast Russians attacked unsuccessfully north and south of Avdiivka. They once again entered Pisky with heavy fighting continuing in the village at the time of writing. Russian attacks on the portion of the frontline immediately southwest of Pisky as well as in Mar’inka were repelled by Ukrainians.
Donbas Area – South and Zaporizhzhia Area Russian forces attempted to advance towards Pavlivka, Shevchenko and Prechystivka but were repelled by Ukrainians. Village Novomaiorske south of Prechystivka that had been taken by Ukrainians in late June appeared to be back under the Russian control.
Black Sea Area Fighting occurred between villages Kyselivka and Blahodatne northwest of Kherson city. Kyselivka was noted to be under the Russian control once again. Fighting also continued in the area of villages Bilohirka, Lozove and Andriivka without major changes.
Kharkiv Area Russians again unsuccessfully attacked towards Ukrainian positions in Dementiivka and Bairak. |
