Donbas Area – Northeast

During the reported period, Russian advance continued near Lysychansk, and it appeared increasingly likely that Ukrainian forces would withdraw from the Lysychansk area.

Russians advanced west of Vovchoyarivka, attacking Verkhnokamyanka and in the direction of Spirne, cutting the Bakhmut-Lysychansk highway between these two villages. They also attacked north of Vovchoyarivka, towards Maloryazantseve.

On the southern outskirts of Lysychansk city fighting continued without major changes.

Further south, Russians appeared to have repelled the Ukrainian counterattack towards Mykolaivka.

In Klynove, the two sides exchanged attacks and counterattacks with fighting continuing within the village.
