Donbas Area – Northeast

Fighting during the reported period was fierce in many parts of this area.

Heavy street battles continued in Severodonetsk without major territorial changes.

Fighting continued in Toshkivka, and between Orikhove and Hirske. Russian attacks, from three sides, on the town of Zolote were repelled by Ukrainians.

Fighting took place within the village of Vrubivka. Ukrainians once again defended the Bakhmut-Lysychansk highway by repelling Russian attacks in the direction of Bilohorivka, Nahyrne, Berestove and Mykolaivka.

East of Bakhmut and Soledar, fighting was reported taking place between villages Volodymyrivka and Stryapivka, between Pylypchatyne and Pokrovske, and between Ilovaisk and Klynove.

Other major Russian attacks took place in the area southeast and south of Bakhmut with Ukrainians defending villages Vershyna, Myronivka, Semyhirja, Travneve and Zaitseve while Russians had taken Novoluhanske.

Donbas Area – North

Battles for the town of Bohorodychne continued as Ukrainians counterattacked and the town was reported divided between the two sides as of the time of writing.

Heavy fighting without major changes continued on the frontline west of Bohorodychne as well as in the area of the Ukrainian counterattack vest of Izyum.

 

Black Sea Area

Ukrainians kept attacking Russian positions in various parts of the Kherson frontline.

Northwest of Kherson, they liberated villages Soldatske and Pravdyne. Fighting continued in village Kyselivka were Russian forces had been attacked by Ukrainians.

Ukrainians also liberated Oleksandrivka west of Kherson which previously had been retaken by Russians after changing hands several times.

Black Sea area, 17 June

 

Kharkiv Area

Russians counterattacked south of Kozacha Lopan possibly retaking the village of Tsupivka.

Fighting continued in the area of Rubizhne and Ternova without major changes.

 

No major territorial changes occurred in Donbas Area – Southeast, Donbas Area – South and Zaporizhzhia Area.
