This is a special issue of the Rondeli Russian Military Digest dedicated to the Russo-Ukrainian War, composed on the basis of numerous open sources.

Donbas Area – Northeast

Heavy street fighting commenced within the northern and northeastern districts of the city of Severodonetsk. Russians also attacked to the southeast of the city in the areas of village Metolkine and Severodonetsk International Airport without major advance there as of the time of writing.

Heavy fighting continued within and around the town of Toshkivka with the two sides taking turns pushing one another back with attacks and counterattacks.

The Bakhmut-Lisichansk highway remained under Russian fire, but attempts by the Russian forces to reach and cut the highway were unsuccessful. At some spots of the portion of the frontline running east of the highway Ukrainians counterattacked pushing Russians a little back from the road.

Formerly unclear situation in village Komyshuvakha was clarified with Ukrainian forces emerging in control of the village after intense fighting.

Donbas Area – North

Russians consolidated their control over Lyman with Ukrainian forces retreating from the outskirts of the town.

Latest reports indicated Ukrainian control over village Velyka Komyshuvakha implying either that reports from the first half of May regarding Russians taking the village were incorrect or that at some point later Ukrainians reversed this Russian gain by a successful counterattack.

Black Sea Area

Ukrainians launched attacks in the area 60-75 kilometers northeast of Kherson in the general direction of Dnipro River, taking villages AndriivkaLozoveBilohirka and, according to some reports, Davydiv Brid.

No major changes occurred in Donbas Area – Southeast, Donbas Area – SouthZaporizhzhia and Kharkiv areas.
