This is a special issue of the Rondeli Russian Military Digest dedicated to the Russo-Ukrainian War, composed on the basis of numerous open sources.

 

Donbas Area – Northeast

Situation continued to worsen for the Ukrainian forces in this area. Having taken Vasylivka, Russian forces reached and cut the important Bakhmut-Lysychansk highway in the area of villages Nahirne and Bilohorivka.

About 12 kilometers east of Bakhmut, Russians took Pylypchatyne.

Southeast of Bakhmut, Russians achieved considerable advance, taking towns MyronivskyiSvitlodarsk and Luhanske. They also captured several villages north and northwest from these towns, including Vidrodzhennya 14 kilometers southeast of Bakhmut.

Ukrainian forces counterattacked in Toshkivka, either fully or partially retaking the town.

Russians continued to attack Severodonetsk, Zolote and Katerynivka without major advance.

Donbas Area – North

Russian forces launched assault on the town of Lyman with street fighting reported within it.

North and northeast of the Donbass Area, 25 May

 

Kharkiv Area

Fighting for the town of Ternova continued with results inconclusive at the time of writing.

 

No major changes occurred in Donbas Area – Southeast, Donbas Area – SouthZaporizhzhia and Black Sea areas.
