Donbas Area

Russians concentrated their efforts on the attempt to surround the Ukrainian forces defending the Severodonetsk-Lysychansk area.

To the west of these two cities, Russians took the town of Yampil, attacked on the outskirts of Ukrainian-held Lyman and Ozerne, and tried to advance southeast of Yampil in the direction of Siversk.

To the immediate north and northwest of Severodonetsk, Russians continued unsuccessful attempts to advance in the street battles ongoing within Rubizhne. They also tried to cut off Rubizhne from Severodonetsk by attacking Vojevodivka which appeared to be still held by Ukrainians at the time of writing.
