On July 13-14, 2015 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (GFSIS) organized a study tour to Tbilisi for the NGO and media representatives of Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kvemo Kartli regions.

The representatives of ethnic Armenian and Azeri minorities met with the First Deputy Minister of Euro Atlantic integration – Archil Karaulashvili, First Deputy Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on European Integration – Guguli Maghradze, the Rector of Tbilisi State University – Prof. Vladimer Papava and the representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science. 

The project participants also attended an engaging roundtable discussion with the representatives of US Embassy, Eurasia Partnership Foundation and Open Society Georgia Foundation, who presented their programs and grant competitions to the audience.

The study visit was organized in the framework of the project “Supporting EU integration process in Georgian Kvemo-Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti regions and in the Autonomous Republic of Ajaria” implemented in cooperation with Jaan Tonisson Institute and funded by the Estonian Development Cooperation.
