On December 8, 2016 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies and U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi jointly organized a roundtable discussion with Mr. Scott Turow, the U.S. legal scholar, practicing defence attorney.
During the meeting, Mr. Turow discussed the following topics: judicial reform, criminal defence, the death penalty, presumption of innocence, corruption and white-collar crime.
The participants of the discussion included the representatives of legal and human rights non-governmental organizations such as Partnership of Human Rights, Transparency International Georgia (TI), Georgian Young Lawyers Association (GYLA), Georgian Bar Association etc.
