On July 24-30, 2023, GFSIS organized the Rondeli Sumer Camp at the Aspindza Rugby Base for 32 public school students from the mountainous regions of Adjara, Adigeni municipality, the village of Mokhe, and Zarzma.
The goal of the Summer Camp is to increase informal education opportunities for the youth and contributes to the integration of schoolchildren from different municipalities of Georgia and raise awareness of issues of national importance for the country.
The Summer Camp participants were actively involved in thematic discussions such as Georgia’s foreign policy, challenges of the region, NATO and Western alliances, Cyber Security, building resilience to anti-Western disinformation, Photography, Western values , and Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, the importance of great discoveries, the underwater cultural heritage in Tao-Klarjeti, etc.; The Summer Camp program consisted of various cultural and educational events, educational excursions, and sports activities.
The Rondeli Summer Camp was organized within the framework of the project – “Community Youth Engagement in the Regions of Georgia” – and is implemented with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Georgia.
