On January 23, 2019 Rondeli Foundation organized the public discussion “Women from Georgia in Syrian and Iraq Conflict”.
The speakers Aleksandre Kvakhazde, Research Fellow, Rondeli Foundation and Luisa Mutoshvili, school teacher at Pankisi Gorge discussed the movement of Georgian female citizens to the Middle East and their participation in the Syrian and Iraqi conflicts.
The event was based on the research conducted by Aleksandre Kvakhadze that aims to shed some light on the issue of women participants from Georgia in the Syrian conflict.
The discussion was followed with the Q&A session.
Representatives of governmental, non-governmental, international organizations, research institutions as well as diplomatic corps attended the event.
