On October 26, 2016 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies organized a public discussion for the young ethnic Azerbaijani minorities on the issues of anti-Western propaganda in “Marneuli Youth Center”.

The event was opened by Ekaterine Metreveli, President of the Foundation who thanked Ambassador of the Romania in Georgia – Radu Horumba for the support of Georgia-EuroAtlantic integration process.

The speakers included Ketevan Chachava, Director of Information Center on NATO and EU and Ambassador Radu Horumba. They both emphasized the importance of access to equal and precise information for everyone on the integration process of Georgia into the European and EuroAtlantic Structures.

The discussion was held in the framework of project “Awareness raising of Ethnic Minority Communities of Georgia on the issues of Euro-Atlantic Integration” that aims to help to replace existing myths established as negative clichés about the West with the reliable information provided in a language and form understandable to ordinary citizens, increase the knowledge of local communities on economic and social effects of integration with the West as well as demonstrate the commitment of the Georgian state towards the idea of Euro-Atlantic integration.

The project is implemented by the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studues, supported by the Embassy of Romania, NATO Contact Point Embassy (CPE) in Georgia.
