Political Economic Discussions with Vladimer Papava

On June 3, 2016 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies hosted a public discussion “Political Economic Discussions with Vladimer Papava”. The discussion was conducted by Dr. Davit Sikharulidze,  the Associated Professor of the Faculty of Economy and Business at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

The main topic of the discussion was the impact of FDI on local investments (the crowd in and crowd out effects) based on the results of the scientific research conducted by the Prof. Sikharulidze. According to the research, foreign investments have a positive impact on the economy of Georgia. 

Professors, experts and students attended the meeting. The discussion was followed by Q&A period.
