On October 20, 2015 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (GFSIS) hosted a panel discussion: Challenges to the security and stability in the Black Sea – possible scenarios.
Opening remarks were made by Mr. Irakli Menagarishvili, the Chairman of the Strategic Research Centre and the Senior felloew at GFSIS.
The audience of the panel discussion included Georgian officials, representatives of academia, diplomatic corps and think-tank community.
H.E. Dumitru Badea, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania, H.E. Zeki Levent Gumrukcu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Georgii Nazarov, Charge d’Affaires, Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia and Mr. David Sikharulidze, Chairman at Atlantic Council of Georgia discussed the issues of security and stability of the Black Sea region, its challenges and the uncertain situation following the annexation of Crimea, as well as the threats and opportunities to the existing formats of cooperation.
