The project, implemented with the support and active participation of OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities (HCNM), targets the lack of social and political inclusion of national minorities and of the healthy policy debate on the issues of national minorities among the political parties, thus overall contributing to the good governance practices.
The multi-component project works with Tbilisi-based youth wing representatives from all political parties to deepen their knowledge on the topics on ethnic politics, policy analysis, policy paper crafting, encouraging political parties really promote minority participation through: their awareness raising on minority issues, legislation and policies, direct contacts with the representatives of minority regions, policy papers elaborated by the political party youngsters and the national minority youth from Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kvemo Kartli. At the same time the project encourages the local national minority community representatives and youth to engage more actively in the political processes through capacity-building, informal education and networking. Young representatives of national minorities shall undergo an internship in the youth organizations of political parties.
To implement the project, Rondeli Foundation works closely with local CSOs created by representatives of local national minorities in Akhalkalaki, Javakheti and Marneuli, Kvemo Kartli.
