On February 5th, 2019 Rondeli Foundation hosted the discussion “The Role of Autocephalous Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the History of Ukraine”.
The president of the Rondeli Foundation, Ekaterine Metreveli opened the discussion. The presenters included H.E. Ihor Dolhov, Ambassador of Ukraine to Georgia, Andreiy Yurash, Director of Department of Religions and Nationalities of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and Mamuka Komakhia, Research Fellow at Rondeli Foundation. During the event the speakers discussed the importance of receiving the Tomos of Autocephaly for the Ukrainian Church as well as the state and the role of independent Church in the state-building process.
Representatives of diplomatic corps, governmental, non-governmental, international organizations as well the Orthodox Church of Georgia attended the discussion.
