On September 28, 2016 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies and U.S Embassy in Georgia hosted a roundtable discussion on Engagement in Pankisi and with Religious and National Minorities.
The purpose of the meeting was to to bring together the key stakeholders who deal with the minorities and share ideas and challenges in doing development work in Pankisi, Adjara, and other Muslim minority regions.
The keynote speech was made by a war correspondent and activist Tom Goltz who shared his recent experiences in the Pankisi gorge as well as his knowledge of the Chechen people.
The discussion was followed by Q&A period between the participants and the speaker.
