On 13 May, 2009 the seminar on European integration within the framework of the “Civil Society Leaders Network” started in Tbilisi. The overall theme of the two year program is on-going democratic reforms in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
Six leaders of different NGOs from each of five countries – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine has been selected to participate in the 2009 seminars.
Mr. Alexander Rondeli, President of the Foundation; Mrs. Jutta Gützkow, Head of Division of NGOs and Civil Society, Directorate General of Democracy and Political Affairs, Council of Europe; H.E. Per EKLUND, Ambassador, Head of Delegation, European Union, Delegation of the European Commission in Georgia; Mr. Borys Wodz, Special Representative of the Secretary General in Georgia and all the Coordinators of respective countries welcomed the participants. The manager of Georgian part of the program. Dr. Teimuraz Kancheli provided some logistical details of the seminar and the first working day started.
