Chinese media once again targets Georgia’s Rose Revolution    

On September 26, the Chinese state-controlled website Chinanews published a propaganda article that targeted Georgia’s democratic revolution of 2003 entitled “‘Rose Revolution’, a typical ‘way’ for the United States to interfere in Eurasian politics – The United States incites ‘color revolutions’ to endanger world peace and stability”. Reportedly, the author is Su Chang, a researcher at the Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.    

 

Chinese Ambassador hopes that students who learn Chinese in an Armenian school contribute to China-Armenia friendship

On September 15, Chinese Ambassador to Armenia Fan Yong was invited to a cultural event dedicated to the Mid-Autumn Festival at Yerevan Basic School N143, the Chinese Embassy reported on September 30.

“I hope that students will continue to work hard to learn Chinese and in the future contribute to the cause of friendship between the two countries,” the Ambassador said.

After the event, Fan Yong saw the school and exchanged views on expanding the teaching of Chinese at the school with the principal Karine Kostanyan.

Armenian officials congratulate Chinese Ambassador on the 73rd anniversary of the foundation of the PRC

On the 73rd anniversary of the foundation of the People’s Republic of China, representatives of Armenia congratulated the Chinese Ambassador of Armenia, Fan Yong, the Ambassador reported on October 7.

“I am confident that the Armenian-Chinese bilateral relations, including the sphere of defense, will continue to develop dynamically for the benefit of the peoples of our states,” the Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia, Karen Brutyan wrote in the letter.

 The Defense Minister of Armenia, Suren Papikian is confident that the Armenian-Chinese relations, “based on a high level of political dialogue and mutual understanding, friendship, and trust will continue to develop steadily in various areas of bilateral relations”.

“I would like to take this opportunity to note that the republic of Armenia has always been and remains a reliable partner of the People’s Republic of China… cooperation between the special services of the Republic of Armenia and China contributes to effective interaction in a number of areas of joint activity,” wrote the Director of National Security Service of Armenia, Major General Armen Vagharshak Abazyan.

The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Vahan Kerobyan, said he was convinced that Armenia-China cooperation both in the cultural and economic aspects would only grow stronger: “For my part, I will  make every effort to further the process of strengthening centuries-old friendship…”

Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry, Robert Khachatryan, wrote the following: “Today, China is one of the most reliable partners for many countries, including Armenia. We emphasize the importance of collaboration with China in many directions which will strongly help us to pursue the road of sustainable development.”

The head of the General Department of Defense Policy and International Cooperation of Armenia’s Ministry of Defense Levon Ayvazyan and The Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Edvard Asryan, also congratulated the Ambassador.
