On August 11, in Pankisi, Jokolo village, Rondeli Foundation organized an award ceremony for the “My World” project participants.
President of the Foundation, Ekaterine Metreveli and A/DCM of the US Embassy, Catherine Schweitzer congratulated the participants and awarded them with certificates and prizes.
The students, who actively participated in the project, read magazines, took quizzes and engaged in the discussions were given special prizes.
The project, My World has been implemented by GFSIS since 2013 aimed at increasing development opportunities of youth from vulnerable communities and strengthening the affiliation with the Georgian State. The project is implemented in the vulnerable communities of Georgia – Pankisi, Mountainous Guria and Adjara, IDP communities of Zugdidi and Tserovani.
The project activities encompassed publication of the youth journal, which is distributed throughout the country; youth discussion clubs – online lectures and trainings for students in the regions; quizzes, based on four issues of the journal and summer camps – winners of the quizzes spend one week actively engaged in physical and intellectual activities.
