On June 14th, US Ambassador Kelly Degnan met with the students of Khulo Municipality public schools. The event was organized by the Rondeli Foundation and attended by the participants of the US Embassy-funded project “Community Youth Engagement in the Regions of Georgia.” During the meeting, Ambassador Degnan spoke about the 30-year strategic partnership between the United States and Georgia and emphasized the importance of the educational, economic, energy and public health programs implemented by the US Government in Georgia throughout the years.
During the discussion, Ambassador noted that Georgia and the United States have a lot in common, including the fact that both countries have fought for their independence. Ambassador Degnan emphasized that the United States strongly supports Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations, as it is the choice of the Georgian people.
