May 30, Rondeli Foundation hosted a roundtable discussion on “Situation in the Regions of Georgia and the Challenges Faced by Local Media,” with representatives of regional media outlets and various political parties participating.

The participants discussed the social, economic, and political situation in the regions of Georgia and paid attention to the challenges faced by local media outlets. The roundtable attendees touched upon the importance of deepening communication between regional media and politicians. The participating actors also discussed the importance of gender quotas for women’s empowerment. The representatives of political parties presented their vision of how they intend to deal with the mentioned challenges within their respective party platforms.

The roundtable discussion was held within the framework of the project “Supporting Free and Fair Elections Cycle in Georgia”.
