Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (Rondeli Foundation) invites you to the event – “Georgia and Japan in the Changing World” to be held on March 14-15, 2022.
Georgia and Japan share many fundamental similarities, such as devotion to democratic values, promotion of the peace and stability, freedom of trade, investments and international cooperation. While Georgia strives to promote its international function as a part of the East-West global trade rout, sometimes called a Middle Corridor, Japan is aligned in developing logistic-infrastructural capabilities of Georgia. For Georgia, it is a chance to strengthen its role in the international community, enhance its security and possibilities for the economic growth. For Japan, it is a possibility for improving economic connectivity with the EU through Georgia.
The event aims at deepening understanding of Japan’s foreign policy and promoting bilateral dialogue between governments of Georgia and Japan, among academia, experts community and youth. The discussion will encompass the opportunities for partnership in the spheres of rule of law, security (including human security) and international relations, democracy, and economic development.
