Awareness raising of Ethnic Minority Communities of Georgia on the issues of Euro-Atlantic Integration
The project “Awareness raising of Ethnic Minority Communities of Georgia on the issues of Euro-Atlantic Integration” envisaged conducting series of seminars on NATO and EU conducted by high level Georgian officials from the responsible agencies at the GFSIS branch office in Akhalkalaki, Javakheti and the Youth Centre in Marneuli, Kvemo Kartli. The goal of the project was to contribute to raising awareness on NATO and EU among the minority communities of Georgia.
The seminars aimed to help to replace existing myths established as negative clichés about the West with the reliable information provided in a language and form understandable to ordinary citizens, increase the knowledge of local communities on economic and social effects of integration with the West as well as demonstrate the commitment of the Georgian state towards the idea of Euro-Atlantic integration.
The program was implemented by the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies with the support of the Embassy of Romania, NATO Contact Point Embassy (CPE) in Georgia.
